I animated a Grimm's fairy tale called "The Turnip," as the goofiness of the story appealed to me. I wanted to challenge myself by animating this narrative without words, to make an unfamiliar story understandable through visual storytelling. I struggled to remain true to the original story and its themes while also conveying the same lightheartedness I felt reading the story.

Color
I decided to use a complementary color scheme in order to emphasize the turnip and to create an interesting visual landscape to further this narrative's aesthetic.

Audio
I developed the narrative and the audio track simultaneously, arranging the narrative's timing to match the pacing of the music. To do this, I had to splice parts of the symphony together so that it reflected what was happening in the story. The music emphasizes high-emotion parts by adding tension and urgency.
